Ride Info

I've decided to do it again. 100 miles on a bike for charity. I was trying to get out of it, making excuses like not enough time, I'm getting too old, etc... But the Universe ever so gently (NOT) reminded me that I cannot sit on the sidelines, and I must participate. Plus, everyone I know has time constraints, and the getting old excuse does not seem to work as well when Lance Armstrong is only 8 seconds out of the lead in this year's Tour de France. In truth, there are very few days when I actually feel older than my age. Over the short number of years that I have been here, I have had many friends and family members get many different forms of cancer. A few of these experiences have been very close to me, and have involved people who are (or were) some of my favorite people on the planet. For whatever reason, this year in particular, and in the more recent months, cancer has played a much more pronounced role in the lives and journeys of my friends and family (thank you Universe). I have also made new acquaintances recently in the most bizarre circumstances, and these experiences have somehow ended up relating to cancer (thanks again Universe!). All of these experiences have been very much in front of me in the recent days and weeks in the form of Gentle Reminders From The Universe to not sit on the sidelines, and all of this has combined to make this a very personal (albeit last minute) decision. So there you have it. Please donate at the link below. http://philly09.livestrong.org/markdalessandro Also, please be sure to send this link to other friends, and have them send it to their friends.
